CommentsBombalurina Thu, 05 Feb 2009 14:52:29 Bombalurina sat on top of the old tire that was the centerpiece of the Junkyard. Demeter sat close by, watching the kittens play below with a sharp eye. But Bombalurina wasn't thinking about the kittens. Her mind was far away, with a certain Tom who was currently strutting around the Junkyard as if he owned the place. Munkustrap Fri, 06 Feb 2009 22:38:56 Munkustrap was completing his rounds and noticed Bombalurina and Demeter on the old tire. he also saw the kittens playing nearby and as he approached, smiled to each one. Bombalurina Mon, 09 Feb 2009 10:50:30 Bombalurina watched Munkustrap as he fell asleep, smiling softly. She had always had a special spot in her heart for the grey tabby, but of course, Demeter had gotten there first. That was alright, though. There were plenty of other Toms in the Junkyard that would gladly accept her affections. Like the Rum Tum Tugger, for example. True, he had about 15 other fan girls that trailed around behind him, but Bomba liked to think that she might be somewhat special to him. Somewhat. Rum Tum Tugger Tue, 10 Feb 2009 23:23:03 From a shadow near the tire, a pair of eyes focuses on a certain red queen and as he schemes on how to get to her without alerting his fanclub, he sees that there is another tom nearby. It's Munkus. He could pounce on his brother and then make his move but could he get to him without waking him? Then sitting up beside his brother, replaced his scowl with a half forced smile. "Yes. Unfortunatly I was. You know you should practice stalking more. I heard you from the time you left the oven area, all the way around to the car." He looked at the disappointed expression on Tugger's face and sighed. He patted him on the back and smiled. "Im surprised hat these kittens didn't hear you." Rum Tum Tugger Tue, 10 Feb 2009 23:32:14 Feeling the paw on his shoulder and hearing the words from Munkus, Tugger decided that fortune favors the bold. He had boldness in spades. So he got up and gave his brother a wink before strutting his way over to the tire. Bombalurina Wed, 11 Feb 2009 09:55:15 Bomba's heart began to pound. Tugger was TALKING to her! And he had even given her a nickname! Demeter Wed, 11 Feb 2009 10:01:01 Demeter paused in her constant grooming routine, which was just about the only thing that kept her from being afraid of Macavity at any given time, even though he might have been miles away for all she knew. Only a few feet away from her, Tugger was talking to Bomba. Finally, she though with a sigh. She's been staring holes in him for the past few days, it's about time he noticed her. Etcetera Wed, 11 Feb 2009 10:07:28 From the safe shadow of an old pipe, Etcetera watched bitterly as Tugger walked up to Bomba. That stupid, prissy, red goody'goody of a Queen. Tugger was hers! True, he barely even noticed her, but she had reason to believe that she was making good progress. For instance, just that morning he had remembered her name! Well, almost. He had called her Ecetraca. But it was close enough. And that Bombalurina had practically every Tom in the Junkyard drooling at her feet, and she chose tosteal the one Tom who ever paid an ounce of attention to her. Rum Tum Tugger Wed, 11 Feb 2009 11:35:28 Tugger listened to Bombalurina and when she mentioned Etcetera, he rolled his eyes. "She'll get over it. Besides...I'm here to talk to you." He gave a look around and noticed Demeter there, grooming herself as usual. "Hey there Dem...seen Macavity lately?" Munkustrap Wed, 11 Feb 2009 11:42:39 Munkus was glad to see his brother go over and speak with Bomby. He knew that Tugger had a thing for her for some time now but couldnt say anything to her about it. He had just been rudely disturbed from his nap and felt the urge to yawn. As he finished his yawn and stretch, he realized that there was a female next to him. He looked to see Demeter there. He heard her greeting and was at a loss for words. She absolutely loathed Etcetera, and to hear Tugger put her down in such a way lifted her heart more than he could possibly know. “Sounds nice…” She said softly, flicking her tail softly in his direction. Rum Tum Tugger Wed, 11 Feb 2009 13:05:51 Tugger looked over to his brother, who appeared to be a bit, well nervous. He snickered at the sight and then looked back to Bomby. "Well then...let's go." Bombalurina Thu, 12 Feb 2009 19:31:34 Bombalurina bit her lip. "Umm...I don't really care...Anywhere would be fine..." She stepped forward, and landed on something soft and fluffly that squealed loudly. "Ecetera!" Ecetera Thu, 12 Feb 2009 19:34:27 Ecetera came tumbling out of her hiding place, rubbing her tail, and giving Bomba a dirty look. "Watch it!" Seeing Tugger next to her, her eyes widened and she blushed bright pink, now unable to speak. She had never been this close to him before! She could have reached out and actually TOUCHED him! "Uhhh..." Rum Tum Tugger Thu, 12 Feb 2009 21:08:58 Tugger heard a yell and then saw Ecetera before them and she was quiet. He looked at her and he too was at a loss for words. He looked to the young queen and saw her rubbing her tail. "Are...you okay...Ecetera?" He gave Bomby an innocent look and then continued. "You should be more careful." Munkustrap Thu, 12 Feb 2009 21:13:10 Munkus watched as Tugger and Bomby walked towards the exit together and then saw them suddenly stop. He saw Ecetera holding her tail and teh questions started forming in his head. "What do you suppose happened?" Bombalurina Thu, 12 Feb 2009 21:27:05 A fire began to rage in Bomba's heart. Ecetera was ruining everything! A stupid kitten was ruining her chances with Tugger! "I suppose..." She gave Ecetera a cold glare, warning her to stay away. Ecetera Thu, 12 Feb 2009 21:32:42 TUGGER REMEMBERED HER NAME!!! Ecetera could have done twenty backflips in a row, she was so excited! Not even Bomba could pop the small bubble of confidence that was beginning to grow in the pit of her stomach. "I...I'm fine, Tugger..." Thoughts began to rage through her mind. Say something, you fool! For once in your life, say something cool! "Thanks for bringing Bomba over so she could step on my tail." Inwardly, she slapped herself. You idiot! You've ruined any remote chance you had! Demeter Thu, 12 Feb 2009 21:38:31 Demeter watched with a worried look as the battle between Ecetera and Bomba grew more and more apparent. She hated when her sister got competative. Couldn't she just pick another Tom? With a jolt, she realized Munkus was talking to her. "Oh...I've no idea...I hope Ecetera's all right, though...She's such a fragile little thing..." In truth, Ecetera had never been better, but Demeter's motherly instincts were pressing away her common sense. "Tugger isn't helping matters, though..." A boil of anger burst in Demeter's stomach. She loathed Tugger. He was so insensitive, so rude, and, besides that, he reminded her all too much of Macavity. Rum Tum Tugger Fri, 13 Feb 2009 21:26:11 Tugger was surprised by the young queen's comment and he didnt realy know how to respond. "Thanks...I guess." he glanced to Bomby who had an evil look on her face. He stepped back to give himself room to escape if the encounter got rough. Munkustrap Fri, 13 Feb 2009 21:30:58 Munkus looked at Demeter and sighed. She just doesnt understand Tugger like he does. "Now Dem...you need to give him a chance. He is my brother, after all." He placed his paw around her and pulled her close. "Please...for me?" Bombalurina Sat, 14 Feb 2009 17:11:21 Bomba looked away from Ecetera with a small growl, and stomped off. That stupid, ignorant kitten! She ruined everything! Ecetera Sat, 14 Feb 2009 17:21:19 Ecetrea bit her lip. A small bubble of regret rose in her chest, but she swept it away. Who cared if Bomba got to be with Tugger? Not her, of course. She was alone with Tugger! This was her chance! She may very well never get another. "I'm sorry..." She said softly, smiling innocently up at Tugger. "I shouldn't;t have overreacted like that...You can go after her, if you like...I don't really mind..." She was purposely giving Tugger the chance to go after her, so he could choose to be with her. And she had a very good feeling that he would. Rum Tum Tugger Sat, 14 Feb 2009 23:59:32 Tugger was waiting for the two of them to apologize before speaking but was met with opposition. Bombalurina stomped off leaving him with Ecetera. He have listened to Ecetera as she spoke, because he was watching Bomby leave. Ecetera Mon, 16 Feb 2009 11:11:08 Ecetera smiled softly. That was typical of Tugger. He hadn't even been listening to her! But she didn't mind much. He was handsome enough to more then make up for it! "I was just telling you that you can go after Bomba, if you like. I know she means alot to you..." She sighed softly, just loud enough that he would be sure to hear. Demeter Mon, 16 Feb 2009 11:13:01 Demeter smiled, purring softly. She watched Bomba stomp off, and felt relief spread throughout her being. At least now, they would not fight. Ecetera would have a chance at Tugger now. But she knew that Bomba would be back. She would not be beaten that easily. "Poor little Ecetera...Tugger will never really notice her, will he?" He shrugged his shoulders and turned back to Ecetera and smiled as he put his arm around her. "I could, but I would much rather stay here. Care to join me for a walk?" Ecetera Mon, 16 Feb 2009 19:51:15 Ecetera gasped, and smiled, a bubbly grin that lit up her young Queen face. She knew that she was a far leap from the seductive tones of Bombalurina, but maybe, just maybe, her kittenish charm would have a chance. "Sure! Where should we go?" Demeter Mon, 16 Feb 2009 19:56:33 Demeter looked up, surprised. "Munkus! That's your job as the tribe protector! We can't be selfish, my dear..." She looked at him, her eyes studying his face. He'd never been worried about this sort of thing before...Of course, Demeter thought about him every moment of the day, but that was partly to ward off thoughts of Macavity. She couldn't even begin to imagine that Munkus would think about her that much. He had much more to think about than the likes of her, even if she was his Queen. I know a great place and the owner gives me samples when I pay him a visit." He watched her face to see her reaction. If she says yes then he will lead her there. He was scared his words might offend her and that was not his intention. "Sometimes I just wish we can be a normal pairing...you know? Anything with Tugger sounded good to her! "Let's go!" Demeter Mon, 16 Feb 2009 22:46:21 Demeter blushed, thinking. A family...kittens...It would be nice...She had always wanted a huge family, with tons and tons of children, but had had to put that dream aside when she met Munkus...And when she was kidnapped by Macavity. The prospect of having kittens had scared her to death after Macavity had gotten a hold of her. And she knew that Munkus understood that. But maybe she was ready...Maybe it was time to move on... "I love you too, Munkus...And...And I think maybe that's a good idea...I'd like to have kittens...If you would too..." Munkustrap Mon, 16 Feb 2009 23:51:06 Munkus looked to Demeter with a surprised expression. "I would love for you to mother my kittens. But are you sure about this? I know you had a bad experience and I dont want you to feel that you have to do this for me. I am willing to wait as long as you feel is necessary." Demeter Tue, 17 Feb 2009 09:41:45 Demeter smiled softly, and kissed Munkus on the cheek in relpy. "I couldn't want anything more..." She hesitated, and then said, "Macavity hasn't appeared for ages...Maybe...Maybe he's given up on me...The last time I saw him...He really seemed to understand that I...That I don't feel anything for him...And that nothing he can do to me will make me...I think he understands now, Munkus...I...I think I'm safe..." Munkustrap Tue, 17 Feb 2009 21:18:12 Munkus' face brightened at hearing his Queen say those words. Maybe she was right. Maybe the time was right. He placed both his paws on her shoulders and stared into her eyes as if he was looking into her soul. He smiled and then pulled her close to him and squeezed her tightly. "You are safe...with me. I'll protect you and our family from any and all harm...I swear it." Demeter Wed, 18 Feb 2009 11:11:08 Demeter wrapped her arms around Munkus, and hugged him tightly. “I know you will, dear. I know you will.” She lay her head on his shoulders, and sighed contentedly. Munkustrap Thu, 19 Feb 2009 20:24:16 Munkus enjoyed every minute that Demeter hugged him. he pulled back from her and smiled. "I have an idea. Maybe I could get Alonzo to take my patrol this evening and we could spend some quality time together. What do you think?" Demeter Thu, 19 Feb 2009 21:59:27 Luckily for Demeter, her fur was very dark, and hid her blush well. "I think that sounds good...Very good" In the back of her mind, she wondered exactly what Munkus might mean by "quality time". It had to be importent for him to give up his patrol. Could she really be that special to him? Alonzo Thu, 19 Feb 2009 22:05:27 Alonzo was out looking for Cassandra when he happened to enter the clearing in front of the car and tire and noticed the kittens playing. He was smiling as usual and then saw his best friend and Demeter sitting above on the car. He called to them as he jumped up on the car. "Hey there you two. Have you by chance seen Cass around?" Munkustrap Sun, 22 Feb 2009 18:44:59 Munkus was enjoying Demeter's embrace and when he heard Alonzo's voice, he turned to see his friend sitting there with a smile on his face. Demeter Mon, 23 Feb 2009 11:10:38 Semeter looked up at Alonzo and Munkus, biting her lip. In fact, she had seen Cassandra lately. She had seen her just that morning- in the arms of Mistoffelees. She had accidentatly walked in on them kissing behind her den. She didn't think that Alonzo would want to know about that, though. "Umm...No...Not recently..." He looked at Demeter and a strange feeling came into his mind but he let it go as he thought of his request of Alonzo. "Hey Zo. I hope you find her." Alonzo Mon, 23 Feb 2009 13:08:03 Alonzo stopped and looked back as his friend spoke. He smiled and nodded. "Me too. She has so many hiding spots these days. I'll find her. Thanks again." He then turnes and strolled out of sight. Munkustrap Mon, 23 Feb 2009 13:10:58 Munkus watched his friend leave and then turned back to Demeter. "It is strange that I havent seen Cass at all today. I even patrolled the whole junkyard." He then turned once more to look in the direction Alonzo left in before looking back to Demeter. "Im sorry I didnt ask him to take my evening patrol. He seems like he's upset about something. Has Cass spoken to you about anything?" Cassandra Mon, 23 Feb 2009 20:19:28 Cassandra was making her way out from behind the tire when she spotted Alonzo. Alonzo! She ducked with...well, cat-like reflexes and watched as Alonzo walked out of sight. Ordinarily, she would have been pleased to see Alonzo, but she had just finished a particularly exciting visit with Mistoffelees, whom she fancied quite alot. Alonzo, who was her mate at the moment, just didn't excite her the way he once had. But Mistoffelees was a different story altogether. She had fallen head over heels for him ever since the previous Jellicle Ball. Munkustrap Mon, 23 Feb 2009 23:55:31 Munkus was waiting for Demeter to answer when he thought he saw something move near the tire. He turned to look and moved in front of Demeter as a precaution. It was a reflex to protect her when things move in the shadows. "I saw something over by the tire. Stay behind me," He focuses his eyes and ears on the shadow and then called out. "Who ever is there...come on out." Cassandra Wed, 25 Feb 2009 10:56:05 Cassandra froze, still just hidden by the tire. She was done for now, and she knew it. Munkus would not give up until he knew who had been moving in the shadows. Slowly, her body trembling, she stood up and whispered, “It’s just me…” Munkustrap Wed, 25 Feb 2009 13:59:47 "What? You...were..." Munkus looked at Cassandra and then to Demeter. His surprised look changed to one of impatience. "What is going on here? Somebody knows and I want to hear it...now." If there was anything that Munkus hated, it was someone who lied. She couldn't let that happen to Demeter, who was so nice to her all the time, even though she knew. He could tell that Demeter was hiding something but he wasnt going to pry. He turned back to Cassandra. "How long?" Cassandra Thu, 26 Feb 2009 10:37:04 “Since the last Jellicle Ball…I didn’t want to hurt anyone by it Mistoffelees is just…” Cassandra’s heart pounded in her chest as she struggled for the words to explain how she felt. “I love him, Munkus…I really do…But I don’t want to hurt Alonzo! He’s been so nice and good to me…I can’t tell him…I just can’t…” She looked up at Munkus, begging him to understand. Munkustrap Thu, 26 Feb 2009 13:52:59 Munkus looked at her and could tell that she was upset by his finding out. he wasnt heartless and understood that she did care for Alonzo but her heart was telling her something different. "You cant lie to him. That would hurt him more than the truth." Bombalurina Fri, 27 Feb 2009 14:00:24 Bombalurina stepped out of her den and saw him. That gorgeous, silver tabby, talking to Cassandra. She gulped. This was it. This was the moment she had been dreaming of so often though in her dreams, they were always alone. Gloriously and completely alone, with no one to bother them. But the likely hood of catching Munkus on his own was very small. This would have to do. She took a deep breath, and began to walk in the sultriest manner she could manage towards the center of the Junkyard. "Hello, Munkus." She purred softly. Cassandra Fri, 27 Feb 2009 14:01:24 Cassandra looked around at the sound of Bomba's voice. Her heart skittered in her chest and with a last apologetic look at Munkus, she fled the scene. Munkustrap Fri, 27 Feb 2009 15:15:20 Munkus had just finished speaking to Cassandra and then noticed Bombalurina approaching them. He turned to face her and for some strange reason, couldnt turn away. In his mind he knew this was her way but something was telling him to be on guard. Macavity Fri, 27 Feb 2009 15:20:12 MAcavity had followed Bombalurina from a safe distance and remained hidden in the shadows. He knew that even his brother wasnt a challenge for the feminine charms of this queen even if he did care for her sister. Munkus would be distracted enough for him to stay hidden and enjoy the show. "I have something to tell you, Munkus..." Demeter Fri, 27 Feb 2009 15:27:37 Demeter looked up, her heart pounding. What was Bomba doing? That look in her eye...It was the look that she normally reserved for Tugger! But what did that mean? Demeter didn't know why, but something about the way that Bomba was walking, and the way Munkustrap was talking made her very uneasy. She bit her lip, but kept quiet. Munkustrap Fri, 27 Feb 2009 21:50:55 As she continued, Munkustrap was feeling a bit uncomfortable. He looked to Demeter who had a look of confusion but stayed quiet. He looked back to the crimson seductress and felt his heart start to pound in his chest. "What is it...Bomby?" Bombalurina Sat, 28 Feb 2009 14:21:18 A fire of pure passion, and love had sparked in Bomba's chest. With a nasty, horrible, spiteful look at Demeter, sahe leaned forward, and kissed Munkus on his furry cheek, whispering softly, "I love you." Demeter Sat, 28 Feb 2009 14:24:19 Demeter's heart seemed to freeze as Bomba glared at her. She knew what was coming, and was appalled when Bomba stepped forward and kissed Munkus. HER Munkus. HER Tom! A silent tear ran down her cheek as she watched Bomba draw away with a satisfied gleam in her eye. She wanted to scream, to kick, to do anything and everything, to protest! But her vocal cords would not cooperate. She couldn't move, she could only stare in horror as the scene unfurled around her. Munkustrap Sun, 01 Mar 2009 12:10:26 Munkus watched as Bomba leaned in close and felt the kiss she gave. Then the shocker. "What? I dont know...what to...say." He was in a state of shock. Why had this happened? He couldnt answer nor could he turn to look at Demeter. Munkustrap was caught in a tight situation. The love for Demeter and the love offered by Bombalurina. He raised his paw up to the cheek and placed it on the spot of the kiss and then his face fell towards the ground. His shock didnt allow him to speak or move. Bombalurina Mon, 02 Mar 2009 11:30:23 Bomba's heart sank. He didn't love her. There was no way he would ver forgive her for this now. How could she have even begin to think that he might want to be with her? Macavity Mon, 02 Mar 2009 19:48:07 Macavity had seen all he needed. Bomby had done to his brother and Demeter than he could ever have done. He took one last look and smiled as he turned away and headed back to Bomby's den to await her return. Munkustrap Mon, 02 Mar 2009 19:53:42 As Bomby pressed up against him and said that she loved him, he could smell her fur and feel her warmth. He closed his eyes and a shiver ran up his spine. He thought to himself: Oh...Bombalurina...why now? He opened his eyes and it wasnt a dream, she was there and she was gorgeous to his eyes. He looked her in the eyes and a smile formed. "I...I...dont know what to say." Rum Tum Tugger Mon, 02 Mar 2009 19:56:04 Tugger had taken Ecetera to his favorite Italian resteraunt and had enjoyed her company. Seeing as she spoke about him the whole time, feeding his ego. Bombalurina Mon, 02 Mar 2009 21:10:16 Bomba turned around to see Tugger and Ecetera standing dumbstruck a little way behind them. The thought of being in love with Tugger seemed almost laughable now. She waved a paw airly and said, "Nothing, Tugger. Just admitting my love to Munkus, that's all." She turned to Ecetera, "By the way, you can have him with my blessing." Ecetera Mon, 02 Mar 2009 21:14:17 The young Queen's eyes widened, and she turned her freckled face slowly back to Tugged, staring at him with her big brown eyes. Everything seemed to be changing now...Bomba loved Munkus, Tugger had just gone on a date with her. Why shouldn't they get together? He let his guard down and returned her kiss and pulled her tight to him. After a moment, he pulled away from her and then looked into her eyes. "Interested?" Munkustrap Tue, 03 Mar 2009 14:49:57 Munkus heard Bomba's words to Tugger and Ecetera. She did mean it. She loved him and he had to admit it to himself. He had feelings for her as well. She had always chased after his brother and he decided to keep them hidden. Now she was coming out with feelings for him and it was hard for him to comprehend, especially after his declaration to Demeter about kittens. He was between the proverbial rock and a hard place and he didnt know what to do. He raised his paw to bomba's cheel and stroked it gently, then turned to Demeter. He stepped over to her and placed his paw against her cheek and then turned and walked away. He needed to think. Rum Tum Tugger Tue, 03 Mar 2009 14:53:29 Tugger watched as his brother made a gesture to each of the queens involved and was surprised. "Okay...I will." He turned to watch as Munkus left his sight and he knew where he was going. Bombaurina Tue, 03 Mar 2009 15:29:33 Bomba watched Munkus walk away, her heart sinking slightly. The fact that he needed time to think could be a good sign or a bad sign. He probably just needed time to move out Demeter's things! Demeter Tue, 03 Mar 2009 15:35:31 Demeter sat dumbfounded and confused by the recent turn of events. Bomba was trying to get to Munkus...Her own sister. She could hardly believe it. And the worst part was, Munkus hadn't flat out refused! He was thinking about it. Demeter could feel the tears coming to her eyes but she held them back so no one would see... Ecetera Tue, 03 Mar 2009 15:40:31 Ecetera watched Bomba walk off, and turned back to Demeter and Tugger, her head reeling. Tugger seemed to be actually asking her out, Bomba was going after Munkus, and Demeter was sitting in the middle of the Junkyard, trying not to cry. "Bombalurina expressed feelings to Munkus in front of Demeter and he just left. He told me he was going home to think and that you should take over the protection of the tribe." The night's events were whirling around her head like birds, and she was struggling to keep up. Demeter had been stolen away by Macavity, Munkus was in love with Bomba, Tugger seemed to fancy her, Alonzo had confessed his love for Demeter, and then run off to who knows where, and she, Ecetera, seemed to have been let in the dust with all the things that had happened. She was a little disappointed that their cuddling was cut short, but she was eager to follow Tugger wherever it was that he was going to patrol. He just happened upon Tugger and Etcetera as they were speaking about Demeter. His face was low and his eyes were dark with despair. "No we wont...at least Munkus wont anyway. I doubt he even cares anymore. He has a new queen and they are together right now." He passed them and stopped before disappearing into the dark. Maybe he was right. Munkus didn't seem to be coming back anytime soon, and the way things were going, he could hardly be blamed. Still, he was needed. Everyone was needed. Demeter may have left of her own free will, but certainly she didn't want to stay with Macavity! There was only one thing she could think to do. "I know one place that they might be...It's not likely, but we have a shot...One day, when I was kinda depressed because you were paying more attention to Jemimia then to me, I went off to go see Bombvalurina, to ask for her help...And I saw her heading towards the Human houses...She might be there, with her Human..."
