CommentsDemeter Thu, 12 Mar 2009 12:25:28 Demeter collapsed in a heap at the top of a pile of trash, crying her heart out. She couldn't stand it, she couldn't take it anymore. It was all over. Munkus had abandoned her, she just knew it. She was no match for the saucy Bombalurina. Any sensible Tom would choose Bomba over her. And Munkus was the most sensible Tom in the whole Junkard. He wasn't a fool. But, for a fleeting moment, she wished that he was. She wished that he was foolish enough to stay with her, a plain little Queen who was scared of her own shadow. Alonzo Fri, 13 Mar 2009 23:38:36 Alonzo had been looking all over for Demeter and when he heard her shouting, he quickly located her. He didnt approach her for fear of her hurting herself trying to escape. He instead eased up to the base of her pile and sat down so she could see him. Demeter Sat, 21 Mar 2009 13:18:46 Demeter nearly jumped out of her fur when she heard Alonzo calling out to her. “Alonzo!” She turned around to see the spotted Tom staring at her with concern etched across his face. “Oh…I…I’m fine, Alonzo…I just…” She blushed in spite of herself. “Did you…Did you hear all that?” Alonzo Sat, 21 Mar 2009 19:55:06 Alonzo shook his head to Demeter but it was truly a lie. He had heard her scream of anger at the night sky. "I can see it in your eyes that you arent okay. It hurts me to see you this way." He wanted to climb to where she was and hold her but knew that was a bad idea at the moment. Demeter Mon, 23 Mar 2009 14:41:07 Demeter cocked her head slightly as Alonzo turned away. Then she blushed. She must look a mess at the moment, since she had been crying and running through all sorts of Human trash to get here. Instinctively, she began licking her paw, and carefully washing her face. It kept her paws busy while she tried to explain the night's events to Alonzo. What had Alonzo just said? That….That he would choose her over Bombalurina? No, she must have heard wrong. That couldn’t be right. Alonzo wouldn’t choose her over Bombalurina. But, then again…He never really had taken to Bomba the way the other Queens had. But, if he did mean what he said, then that meant…That meant that he loved her! No, no ,no! That wasn’t right at all! You are so...beautiful and the way you smile. Well its breath taking to me." He could feel the heat rising in his cheeks and turned away from. He couldnt believe that he had told her those things. He began scanning the perimeter with his eyes and then went back to her. "I cant leave without you. Come back to the yard with me...I wont let him take you." His eyes were wider and full of emotion. He had watched the heart warming scene from a distance and was easing his way closer. A sinister smile on his face. The offer was tempting. She wanted to go back home, to the Junkyard. But, then again, there really was nothing to go back for. Munkustrap was no longer hers. “No.” She murmured softly. “I can’t. "You surprised me Demeter. Why didnt you go with him? Why did you stay? You knew I was here, you could have been safe with...him. So why?" He gazed at her and wited for her to make a run for it. Demeter Fri, 27 Mar 2009 11:11:45 Demeter was shaking like a leaf, but she stood her ground, staring determinedly up at Macavity. “There’s nothing…Nothing for me to go back for anymore, is there? Munkustrap doesn’t want me anymore…I’d rather die than face him again.” She had no idea how she knew, but she had the strangest feeling that Macavity knew all about what had happened between her and Munkustrap. Macavity Fri, 27 Mar 2009 12:17:24 He admired her courage. He could see her shaking but to her credit she didnt run. "Really? He doesnt want you anymore? You'd rather die than face him? Do you hear yourself? Pathetic. And here I was thinking that you had gotten tougher after the last time I had you, but now I see that you are weak and selfish. I suppose you hate your sister then?" He was reading her and her reactions. This was more fun than he originally thought it would be. His anger was flushed away and a sense of guilt came rushing forward. "De...meter...whats going on? Why is he here?" Demeter Fri, 27 Mar 2009 15:28:16 Demeter swung around and saw Munkustrap. She hissed loudly, as anger began to grow inside her. What in the world was he doing here?! “Get out!” She cried. “GET OUT!” Macavity Fri, 27 Mar 2009 16:01:35 Macavity saw the expression on Munkustrap's face as Demeter lashed out at him. "Maybe not as pathetic as I first thought." He turned and smiled in Munkus' direction. "Its your fault you know. She is gone and you wont ever get her back this time." Munkustrap Fri, 27 Mar 2009 16:05:58 Munkus was hurt by her words. He may not be her mate but he still cared for her. "Demeter...please. I never meant to hurt you. I just cant lie to you anymore. I love Bombalurina. I also care about you too. Let me help you..." His eyes were pleading to her as he spoke and his eyes were drawn to Macavity who was laughing. He, at that very moment realized that Macavity must somehow be behind it. Demeter Fri, 27 Mar 2009 17:06:25 Demeter felt nothing, but a mad rage. She had never felt anything so exhilarating or terrifying as this anger. With a furious scream, she lashed out, scratching Munkus across the face. Blood spotted the tips of her claws as she drew back, breathing Hard. The scratch across Munkus’s face was a minor injury, but she felt extreme satisfaction at the pain she was causing him, just as he caused her. She took a few steps back, to stand by Macavity. Munkustrap Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:29:43 Munkus took a step back and his paws immediately went to the place she had scratched him. He looked down at his paw and saw a small spattering of blood. He looked back up to her now standing next to Macavity with surprised horror in his eyes. "Wha...why?" Alonzo Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:32:10 Just as Demeter had struck Munkustrap, he arrived and was at a loss for words. He couldnt believe his eyes. She actually struck Munkus. He called to her. "Demeter...what have you done? Please come back with me and let me protect you from all harm." He extended his arms and was beckoning her to him with his gaze. "I love you Demeter..." Munkustrap Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:34:23 Munkus looked at his best friend and saw that he meant all he was saying. He then turned to face Macavity. His first thought was could he fight him off and the answer was doubtful. But he was the only one who ever had. His eyes narrowed and his focus remained on the Napolean of Crime. He spoke through gritted teeth and fangs. "What have you done now? Why are you here?" Macavity Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:38:59 Macavity watched Demeter lash out in anger at her former protector and a sinister smile formed on his face. This was better than he had expected by far. The look of shock and horror at the possibility of losing Demeter was apparent. He even enjoyed the pathetic pleas from Alonzo as well. He turned back to see his little brother showing his fangs and claws. Munkustrap Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:46:06 Munkus couldnt believe his ears, had Macavity lead bomby to him? Was his vanity to blame for this? He relaxed and dropped his paws down by his sides. He had been played and had fallen for the whole thing without even thinking of who he was hurting. Then he thought about the time spent with Bomby. Was that real? Had she really loved him? He was full of doubt now and couldnt stay focused. He looked to Demeter. "I am so sorry for hurting you. I never meant for you to fall in love with me. I thought we could just be friends but I got closer to you and it all just happened. I started to care, maybe even love you. Deep in my heart...I wanted to be with Bombalurina. I just never said anything because you were so great and you needed me." He thought to himself again...did you ever really care for me or was it just out of necessity? Alonzo Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:48:16 Alonzo rushed to his friend's side and saw the scratch. "Munkus do something...please. You cant just let her go...with him." Alonzo realized that Munkus was miles away, lost in his mind. He turned and faced Macavity. A new ferociousness showing in his eyes that had never been there before. "I wont let you touch her...you fiend." Macavity Mon, 30 Mar 2009 00:51:00 Macavity was relishing at his brother's wasted pleas and apologies. He had been broken and now was little more than a puppet. Even Alonzo's presence meant little to him. "Oh...you wont huh? We'll see about that." He raised his paws and his claws slowly extended to thier full lengths. "You are all alone Alonzo. No one will save you from me this time. Especially not Munkustrap. He's a pathetic waste of space and your time is up." Demeter Mon, 30 Mar 2009 18:54:08 Demeter half snapped out of the trance that Macavity seemed to have put her in when Alonzo took a fighting stance. Her eyes widened as she saw Macavity extend his claws, saw the blood lust in his eyes. "No!" She lept between Macavity and Alonzo. "Don't hurt him!" Macavity Mon, 30 Mar 2009 19:49:21 "If...if you come with me...I promise not to kill them...yes." His bloodlust had come to the front and he had an urge to harm someone. "Why protect this...pathetic tom and his useless friend?" He stepped closer, keeping his eyes on the two Jellicle toms. "Answer me that." Demeter Tue, 31 Mar 2009 12:24:34 Demeter heard Macavity promise to leave the Jellivlrd alone, but she did not believe him. The terrible bloodlust in his eyes has not left, and he was still posed to strike. She knew that he would attack if she gave him the chance. Macavity Tue, 31 Mar 2009 20:08:12 Macavity felt Demeter move close and kiss his cheek. He thought about her words and it seemed that she genuinely wanted to go with him. "They're the protectors huh? So be it...they can go." He turned away from them and looked into her eyes. "You mean that?" Alonzo Tue, 31 Mar 2009 20:09:50 After hearing her words, he fell to his knees and began to weep. He had professed his love for this queen and she threw it back in his face. He couldnt believe what she was doing. Munkustrap Tue, 31 Mar 2009 20:14:04 Munkustrap looked in Demeter's direction, seeing her hatred for him in her eyes, reached out to stop her but didnt even come close. He felt tears welling up in his eyes and knew they had lost her. Turning to Alonzo, he moved over to his friend and placed a paw on his shoulder. He knealt down and whispered in his ear. "We'll get her back...you'll see. She is only upset and will see her error and return." Macavity Tue, 31 Mar 2009 20:15:47 Macavity glanced over his shoulder and laughed. "You had better hope not...little brother. She is mine now." He put his paw on Demeter's arm and led her away. Not many of the Jellicles knew how very close Macavity’s lair was to their precious Junkyard. The filthy pathetic excuses for cats were always baffled as to how Macavity’s managed to strike and leave so quickly, and how he seemed to know about things almost as soon as they happened. They were idiotically unaware of the Henchcats that always stood guard around the Junkyard, feeding out information. It was quite an ingenious system, conceived by Macavity himself. It took a moment before he realized that his sister was talking to someone. He raised his head and saw the mottled fur of Bonconlo. Bon was staring holes through her, and she didn’t like it. Was it possible that he knew that she had done something to Jemimia? No, it wasn’t. She had covered her tracks all too well for the likes of him to discover her. “Ah…Yes…I remember now…Yea, I took her to see the old man. And she told me to leave as soon as I brought her there. I...I think I remember something else, yea...Umm...She asked to be dropped off at this Human's house, and there was no one home, and I got spooked while she was in there, so I ran for it, and Jerrie here accidentally knocked some boxes down so the entrance was blocked and Jemimia couldn't get out. That was two weeks ago..." She said all of this very fast, hoping against hope that Bon wouldn't ask any more questions. Just as he was exiting teh tunnel to the outskirts, he heard familiar voices and attempted to locate them. He turned quickly at the sound of his Master's voice, and bowed rather sloppily, trying to wipe away his sudden tears without letting him notice. "Jemimia...Jemimia is dead, sir..." His voice cracked slightly. "I was questioning Rumpleteazer on her whereabouts, and...She couldn't have survivied what she said happened. Not a weak kitten like her..." He turned away from his hench and locked his paws behind his back. "So...she's dead huh? Was a body found? Do you know for sure? I think not because you took their word at face value. They, who have been tainted by my brother's and father's philosophies." He spun back around and locked his eyes on Bon. "Go and verify their story...if she lives...then the Calicos...well you get the idea. Now go." He also took notice of the calico queen by his side and they were supporting a kitten between them. He couldnt believe his eyes. "What is that? Why does it need to hang on?" Bonconlo Mon, 11 May 2009 11:58:38 Bonconlo growled loudly at Zazor, taking a protective stance over the tiny kitten. “Get out of the way, Zazor. She needs help!” Zazor Mon, 11 May 2009 21:25:55 "Oh really....and why is that? Hmmm?" Zazor stepped aside and cut his eyes in Bonconlo's direction. "What have you done this time?" Zazor Tue, 12 May 2009 13:26:24 Zazor's eyes widened as he gazed at the weak little kitten they were holding. "Thats Jem...what in the name of the Everlasting Cat happened to her?"
